The Midwifery Model of care

Midwives are experts in normal child birth. We support women with a holistic, integrative, and client-centered approach. We believe in your body's ability to give birth naturally; we are here to assist you in this powerful process while providing you with informed consent.

Midwifery Services

We are licensed as primary care providers for low risk moms and babies from pregnancy through postpartum.

  • Full prenatal care, including labs and ultrasound referrals.

  • Home birth, water birth & full newborn exam

  • 6 weeks of comprehensive postpartum care + lactation support.

Lactation

We hold the highest credential in lactation as IBCLC’s. We are happy to support your lactation journey from the first latch through your weaning process.

  • Initial visit visit $250

  • Subsequent visits $150

  • Insurance accepted through TLN for most PPOs

    and Wildflower for Cigna.

Well wOMan

Have a comprehensive well woman visit whether you are interested in pre-conception counseling or guidance through menopause and anything in between.

  • Nutrition, supplement & exercise counseling

  • Routine labs including Pap smear, thyroid, anemia panel, STD testing and referral for routine breast imaging.

  • Pre-conception counseling, fertility assistance.

  • Physical exam

  • Prescription medications and collaborative care with an Internal Medicine Physician.

Studies continue to show that the safest place for a low-risk woman to give birth is with licensed midwives who are experts in normal pregnancy. The evidence shows less interventions and medications result in better birth, postpartum and breastfeeding outcomes. The midwifery model of care is client-centered, compassionate, and individualized.

What we do

Pregnancy

Each visit we will spend time answering your questions and supporting you through pregnancy and parenthood.

45-60 minute prenatal visits

All necessary blood draws, cultures and pap smears.

Referrals for ultrasounds to compassionate specialized providers.

Physical examination of mama and baby. 

Labor & Birth

We are on call, awaiting the arrival of your sweet baby.

Continuous remote support and guidance during early labor.

Our physical, mental and spiritual support of your birth along with the medical surveillance of your low risk birth, supporting you as you delivery your baby.

Water birth: the midwives epidural; decreases pain and anxiety while increasing relaxation. 

Postpartum

Comprehensive support with postpartum care and lactation.

Full newborn exam at your bedside after birth.

24-48 hr home visit

6 weeks of support with routine visits at 7 days, 3 weeks and 6 weeks.

All necessary blood draws, cultures and pap smears.
